Bonfire Night in the park 🎆

Hark! Tonight, from 4pm till midnight, London Fields goes off with a bang.

What's on

A great wigwam of a bonfire on the open grass north of the cricket pitch, with a Guy on top in a tiny knight helmet. Every five minutes, on the :00, :05, :10 and so on, a minute of fireworks bursts over the park, and you can see it from anywhere.

Ride up to the free fireworks stall by the bonfire for a box of six (rockets, roman candles and bangers) and a sparkler. Hold the sparkler and ride about: the sparks hang in the air, so you can write thy name in fire as you go.

Open slimebikejousting.com on your phone. No download, no sign-up, free. Pick a silly name, hop on a slime green e-bike and head for the glow.
