Slime Bike Jousting is a daft, free, multiplayer game: medieval peasants on modern e-bikes, jousting each other round a cartoon London Fields in Hackney. Open the link, type a silly name, and thou art in. No app, no download, no sign-up.
The London Fields story
It started with real life. Jousters in armour turned up in London Fields on hire e-bikes with striped foam lances, charged at each other down the paths, and huge crowds came to watch. The videos went everywhere, and there was a rave afterwards.
We loved it so much we built the park as a game: the lido, the cricket pitch, the railway arches, the pub on the corner, the market street at the south tip, and a great jousting arena where the paths meet. Charge, pick high, middle or low, and whoever loses gets slimed.
What thou canst do
- ⚔️ Joust anyone you meet, head-on, with a lance (or a baguette, a giant sausage or a rubber chicken)
- 🍺 Get a pint at the pub, a pie on the market street and a burger at the van in the arches
- 🥚 Throw eggs, tomatoes and custard pies
- 🌳 Climb the big plane trees and drop on riders below
- 🎬 Clip the last 10 seconds as a video for TikTok or Instagram
- 🍔 Race for the Burger in the Sky to win a real burger
⚜️ The Founding Knights
Be one of the very first. Become a Founding Knight from the Menu in the game: thou gettest thy number for ever, a ⚜️ by thy name, and thy email brings thy knight back on any phone. Free, always.
Who made it
Slime Bike Jousting is made by Gobsmack'd Burger Bar in Deptford, the real burger van that's also parked in the game's railway arches. Inspired by the real London Fields jousters, with love. Nothing in the game is sold for real money, ever: the only real money is an optional tip, a pint for the devs.
